Kiki Tay is a professional Magician, Illusionist and Special Effects designer. In this presentation, Kiki Tay shares how his obsession with lights lasers and robotics led him to design and create amazing props, gadgets and special effects used in his performances!

Bookbinding 101

We’ll discuss the tools and materials for bookbinding and explore adhesives, paper types and uses, and grain for paper and book cloth. You’ll learn about a variety of structures and make a very unique concertina bound book, perfect for a journal or an album.

Eco Friendly Jewelry Making
Green Issues by Agy

Get creative by making jewelry from items you can find in your home - fabric and plastic bottles. Participants learn about upcycling, jewelry techniques and take home a necklace and a pair of earrings. All materials are provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own special fabric or bottles to upcycle. Ideal for ages 10 and up.

All makers, tinkerers, hackers, crafters, artists and DIYers are invited to join us for the Maker Forum for an evening of conversation and socializing. There will be brief presentations by maker-participants and invited speakers on the extent of maker activities/culture among various maker communities in Singapore and internationally. We hope that the forum will help to spark new ideas and collaboration to foster a creative and innovative DIY maker culture in Singapore.
